Astramate Privacy Policy

1. Information stored on your device

Most Astramate data is stored locally on your device. This may include vessel profiles and vessel information you enter, calculation inputs and history, favorites, app settings and preferences, locally cached entitlement information, and backup files you choose to export.

2. No account required

Astramate does not require users to create an AstraLabs account or sign in with an email address to use the app. The app may communicate with online services when necessary for trial eligibility, entitlement status, advertising, purchase verification, or related app functionality.

3. Device entitlement information

Astramate may use a device-based identifier to manage Free, Trial, and Premium entitlement. On Android, the app may derive a one-way SHA-256 hash from the device Android identifier. The original identifier is not sent to the AstraLabs backend.

4. Google Play purchases

Premium purchases on Android are processed through Google Play Billing. AstraLabs PH does not receive or store your credit card number, bank account information, Google account password, or other payment credentials.

5. Advertising

The Free version may display advertisements through third-party advertising services such as Google advertising services. Where required, Astramate may request advertising consent before ads are displayed. Trial and Premium access are intended to be ad-free.

6. External and affiliate links

For Free users in the Philippines, Astramate may display a MerchLab promotional fallback linking to Shopee Philippines or Lazada Philippines while Google ads are unavailable or before a usable Google ad impression is available. Astramate may use a coarse network-derived country signal and may store a local Philippines-eligibility flag on the device so the Philippines-only fallback can appear promptly on later app launches. It does not use GPS or precise location for this purpose. Astramate does not use GPS or request precise location for this fallback. A backend request may use a network-derived country code to determine whether the Philippines-only promotion is eligible, and this signal is not used by Astramate to build a user profile. When you open an external or affiliate link, you leave Astramate and become subject to the privacy policy and terms of the external website or service.

7. How information is used

Information may be used to operate app functionality, provide maritime calculation tools, manage access, verify purchases, prevent misuse, deliver advertisements where applicable, maintain security and reliability, diagnose technical issues, provide support, and improve Astramate.

8. Data sharing

AstraLabs PH does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers necessary to operate Astramate, including Google Play distribution and billing, advertising, backend infrastructure, security, and technical operations.

9. Data security

AstraLabs PH uses reasonable technical safeguards designed to protect information processed by Astramate, including encrypted HTTPS connections, hashed device identifiers, platform-provided purchase verification, and backend access controls.

10. Data retention

Locally stored app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, restore a backup, or uninstall. Server-side entitlement information may be retained as reasonably necessary for entitlement integrity, fraud prevention, legal, accounting, security, or platform requirements.

11. Data deletion requests

You may request deletion of eligible server-side information associated with Astramate by contacting contact@astralabsph.com.

12. Children's privacy

Astramate is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13. AstraLabs PH does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13.

13. Maritime and operational information

Astramate is a calculation and operational assistance tool. It does not replace approved vessel software, official publications, statutory requirements, charts, manuals, vessel procedures, or professional maritime judgment.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Astramate features, service providers, regulatory requirements, or data-handling practices change. The latest version will be published on this page.
